Celebrating 20 years of Targeted Training

12th October 2017

On Sunday 17th September, staff and supporters of The Movement Centre were joined by some of the families who have attended the centre, supporters and friends to celebrate 20 years of our specialist therapy, Targeted Training. We were kindly offered the use of Brynkinalt Hall in Chirk, for a celebration event. Also at the event was Tom James MBE, British rower and twice Olympic Gold Champion and patron of The Movement Centre. The day enabled everyone to mark the occasion with a special afternoon tea and entertainment!

We were delighted to get together with so many people to celebrate and we were very lucky to have the event in such a beautiful venue. We are very grateful indeed to Kate, Iain and family at Brynkinalt Hall for their hospitality.

We have so many wonderful friends and supporters, who give up their time to help volunteer and raise funds to enable us to continue our work. We can’t thank them enough and we are very excited for the next 20 years!

Charity Golf Day

9th October 2017

The Movement Centre had their inaugural charity golf day sponsored by Club Choice Ireland.

Larry (left, from Club Choice) meeting Curtis from TMC

Hosted by Henlle Park Golf Club, our golf day had a first prize of a golfing holiday donated by the sponsors. We were very lucky to have the support of Larry, who works for Club Choice, and he made the trip over here to meet the golfers.

We ordered some good weather for the golf day and considering it was October, the rain stayed away and for the most part was sunny.

We had multiple prizes on offer including longest drive for men and women, and closest to pin men and women. Below is a list of winners

Longest drive men- Ron Pugh, longest drive ladies- Pam Tattersal, closest to pin men- Sam Allen, closest to pin ladies- Viv Davies.

3rd place – Gerallt Davies and Rob Jones

Winners of competition- Sam Allen and Joshua Davies, pictured with Curtis Langley (from TMC)

2nd place- Bill Mackenzie and Steve Shum

1st place- Sam Allen and Joshua Davies

The Movement Centre

We were delighted to join Santa on his travels last night. He visited all of Woodside area, and visited as many children as possible.

A massive thank you to all who supported the evening, including Ann and Lynne from TMC, plus there partners, our fantastic volunteers Sam, Corinne and Kelly, and also members of the Aico team; Jane, Alex, Jo, Lewis, Lorna and Ady.

We had a wonderful evening of festivities, and must thank everyone who came out the house to see Santa, and donated.

Thank you Oswestry Cambrian Rotary for inviting our volunteers along to help. 🎄 🎅🏻
