    Shropshire Star Tokens

    The Movement Centre are one of the lucky groups to have been accepted for the Cash For Your Community 2019 campaign.

    CFYC is a campaign run by Shropshire Star and Enterprise Flex- Rent.

    To receive a share of the £20,000 prize fund we need to collect special vote tokens (minimum 500), which will be printed in the Shropshire Star newspaper until April 6. If you are a Shropshire Star reader, please collect the tokens, and post them to:

    Celebrating International Women’s Day

    Today is International Women’s Day!

    We wanted to share some pictures of the inspirational women that have supported The Movement

    Centre within the last 12 months.

    We have had lots of women complete challenges for us in the last 12 months which include Anna (joined by her husband) completing the Three peaks challenge, Annie running Edinburgh Marathon, and Kelly throwing herself out of a plane!

    Elan Catrin Parry joined us for an evening of song when she performed with the Rhos Orpheus Male Choir in Oswestry, while one of our volunteers, Doreen made the climb up to the summit of Snowdon. She was joined by Sarah (one of our Physiotherapists), Viv, Nikki and Lynne.

    Lydia, Maddison and Mum, Jo (joined by Dad, Darren) took part in Superhero Series last August, and really enjoyed the day. They joined our patron Sophie Christiansen CBE at the all inclusive triathlon down at Dorney Lake.

    Finally the ladies from Lanyon Bowdler joined a field of golfers at our annual Charity Golf Day at Arscott Golf Club.

    These are just a handful of the great women that have supported us this year (sorry if we missed you). Thank you to you all, and we hope you continue to support The Movement Centre, have a great day!

    Last Friday we had the pleasure of welcoming Lottie and her family for her 3rd review.

    Lottie is making fantastic progress and on Friday her Physiotherapist, Sarah, made the decision to transfer her into a different standing frame with less support.

    As you can see from the photos, Lottie was being supported higher up her body, and now only being held at hips, it has given her a bigger challenge.

    We look forward to seeing her again in a few weeks.
