If you would like to access Targeted Training at The Movement Centre it is best to contact us via telephone, email or through our website. We can then arrange for you to have an initial discussion with one of our specialist Physiotherapists. They will be able to talk to you about whether or not Targeted Training might be of benefit to your child.
Children can be referred to The Movement Centre in the following ways:
- Self-referred by a parent or carer (if you wish to explore NHS funding you will require a clinical referral at a later date)
- Referred by a healthcare professional (for example your child’s Consultant, GP, or Physiotherapists)
If we believe Targeted Training therapy may benefit your child you will be invited to an Initial Appointment to determine if it is suitable. We will only accept your child onto a course of therapy if we believe it may help them gain movement control
Please note that the length of time between initial referral and appointment can vary, depending on availability and the funding pathway.
You can find out more about what to expect from a course of Targeted Training therapy here.
