Meet Wilson, a 6-year-old with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, which affects his ability to control movement in his arms, legs, and trunk.
He loves playing games on the go and is a big fan of Manchester United – he was even a mascot at one of their matches!
In December 2020, Wilson began Targeted Training Therapy at The Movement Centre. He was given a standing frame with the topmost support at mid-trunk level and would spend 30 minutes most days completing activities in it.
After a few months, Wilson’s movement control had improved, meaning supports were lowered. He was then given a new standing frame with topmost support at pelvic level, as he had made good progress with his trunk control.
Wilson has achieved so much since starting his therapy at The Movement Centre. A standout being sitting independently, and now being able to join in more fun activities with family and friend’s. His family thank The Movement Centre for the strength and confidence they have given him, as his independence grows every day
