Stoke City Cerebral Palsy Open Day
Date: Saturday 22nd July (11 a.m. until 3 p.m).
The Movement Centre will be speaking at Stoke City Cerebral Palsy Open Day, taking place at Keele University Sports Centre ST5 5BG. The Open Day for parents and carers who have children with Cerebral Palsy.It is opportunity to meet with experts in the field and discuss various specialisms associated to the care and support of those with cerebral palsy. A number of nationally recognised specialist organisations will be available to help you explore opportunities for the ongoing care of your child / children and those you are responsible for. There will be a market place style so families can informally discuss various issues with the specialists present.
The following day families may also like to attend there is also Stoke City Cerebral Palsy Football Festival
Age Groups: 5-8 & 9-12 and a Frame User Category. University Campus accommodation is available if you are keen to attend both days!

Charity Golf Competition at Henlle Park Golf Club
Date: 6th October 2017
On Friday 6th October Henlle Park Golf Club will be hosting the Annual Golf Day in aid of The Movement Centre. This year’s event promises to be a great day, including breakfast, the competition, two course meal and prize giving.
The golf day has a main sponsor who have kindly donated a golfing holiday for 2 for the winners of the competition. We would like to thank Club Choice Ireland for their kind donation.
Thanks to Arthurs of Oswestry who have kindly donated a brand new Vauxhall for a hole in one, on a selected hole, as part of the competition!

Oswestry Charity Market
Date: 2nd June 2017
We stood at Oswestry Charity Market which was held on the Bailey Head on the 4th of June, where we held a “name the bear” competition raising funds for The Movement Centre and raising awareness of our work. Curtis and Vicky also met the new Mayor of Oswestry Vince Hunt.

Every year we hold an Awards Party for the children who attend The Movement Centre. It is a great time to celebrate all the hard work that takes place.
Inclusive Community Training Event
Date: 11th October 2016
The event provides training to improve skills, know-how and confidence in delivering sports-based activities to disabled people. It has been developed in partnership between Sainsbury’s and Sport
England through a National Lottery investment. It is delivered by the English Federation of Disability Sport and Sports Coach UK.
The event will take place on Tuesday 11th October 2016 at University Centre Shrewsbury, Guildhall, Shrewsbury SY3 8HQ (paid parking available, also accessible by Train; 10 min taxi or 15 min walk from Shrewsbury Station).

Rhos Orpheus Male Choir
Date: 14th October 2016
The Internationally acclaimed Rhos Orpheus Male Choir (Cor Meibion Orffiws y Rhos) was formed in 1957 and hails from the village of Rhos near Wrexham. The choir has performed in Europe, Israel, China, the USA and Canada. The current Musical Director and Conductor, Eifion Wyn Jones, has reaffirmed its reputation as one of the finest male voice choirs in Wales.
They will be performing with visiting choirs from Germany, in what promises to be a wonderful evening.
