Monty’s Canal Walk, following the beautiful path of the Shropshire Union Canal, with beautiful scenery to match.

The team of walkers will meet from 9am on Sunday 1st July at the Lion Quays, near Oswestry. Our stroll will start at 10am walking towards Chirk, crossing the Aqueduct and through the 421 metre long tunnel. (Don’t worry if you are scared of the dark, we have another route for you). We will then continue along the canal to Pontcysyllte  Aqueduct. We recommend your bring a torch for your walk through the tunnel. We would recommend anyone concerned with their health to get advice from a GP.

Superhero Series

Date: 18th August 2018

Join Team Monty!!

The Movement Centre has partnered with the Superhero Series, the UK’s one and only disability sports series for the Everyday Superhero! The idea is simple: To create fun, full-throttle challenges where people with disabilities call the shots and don’t have to worry about cut-off times or equipment restrictions.

The Movement Centre is looking for families to join ‘Team Monty’ and take part in 2 events, the first being in August. Raising money and awareness about the work we do is important to us and taking part in an event like this will be great. We have free places in 2 events to fill. These will be given out on a first come, first served basis. You can find out more about the fantastic events here. All we ask is for you to aim to raise a minimum of £100 per family of Superheroes, and that you have lots of fun on the day. We’ll be there to cheer you on and support you all the way!

We are also  looking into the potential to get transport arranged to and from The Movement Centre (or nearby) for the events, so do let us know if this is something you would be interested in.

Also, if you are interested, why not become an Every Day Superhero?  If you would like to become an Every Day Superhero you can read more info here. They would have to ask you a few questions, need a photo to have you turned into an Avatar and for you to be happy for the Superhero Series to announce you on social media. We think being turned in to Avatar sounds great!

If you would like enter this event then please do get in touch with us, and we will send you the links and redeem code. We would love it if you could join us!
